Laser Manager Wanted – Immediate Start! Location: Leicester Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE) Shifts: Full-time | 40 hours per week Mon-Fri Are you an experienced Laser Manager? Regional Recruitment Services are recruiting on behalf of an industry-leading manufacturer for a Laser Manager to oversee their Laser Production team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a growing sheet metal and laser cutting business and oversee an excellent team of hard-working professionals. This role offers long term career development and the opportunity to be responsible for the end-to-end management of laser cutting operations, ensuring production meets quality standards, delivery targets and operational efficiency goals. Roles & Responsibilities Production Planning & Delivery Ensure laser output supports overall on-time delivery performance Identify capacity constraints and escalate risks early Ensure laser operations do not become a bottleneck to downstream processes Laser Operations & Utilisation Maximise machine utilisation and uptime across all laser cutting equipment Maintain high standards of cut quality, tolerances, and finish Reduce scrap and rework through strong process control Ensure first-off checks and in-process inspections are carried out correctly Material & Stock Control Manage material grades, thicknesses and traceability Improve sheet utilisation and nesting efficiency Manage remnant stock to maximise reuse and reduce waste Maintenance & Equipment Reliability Oversee preventative maintenance schedules Monitor downtime, faults and machine performance trends Work to improve machine reliability and operational uptime Systems & Technical Support Ensure job packs and documentation are completed accurately Maintain accurate production data within ERP / production systems Support programmers and estimating teams with cutting times, material knowledge and technical expertise People Leadership Lead, train and develop laser operators Maintain training records and skills matrices Manage holidays, overtime and performance reviews Requirements Strong background in laser cutting within a subcontract manufacturing environment Excellent understanding of laser cutting processes, materials and quality standards Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience managing production teams within a manufacturing environment Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills Experience with ERP or digital production tracking systems Desirable: Experience with process improvement and production performance analysis Knowledge of modern manufacturing technologies Experience working closely with customers and internal stakeholders What’s on Offer Competitive salary depending on experience 40 hour working week Enhanced holiday entitlement with service-related increases Company pension scheme Life assurance Onsite gym Employee Assistance Programme Onsite parking and staff canteen Training and development opportunities Next Steps Apply to this Laser Manager role through this advert.
