Manchester (Hybrid - 2 days in office)

Salary: £85,000 - £100,000 DOE

We're looking for a Lead Android Engineer to help shape the future of a large-scale mobile platform used by millions across the UK.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll influence architecture, engineering standards, and platform direction while mentoring engineers and collaborating closely with Product and Design teams.

What you'll be doing

Leading technical direction across Android engineering
Building scalable mobile applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
Driving best practices around architecture, testing, CI/CD, and performance
Mentoring engineers and helping shape engineering culture
Influencing long-term platform strategy and technical decision-making

What we're looking for

Strong Android development experience with Kotlin
Experience in a Lead, Staff, Principal, or similar engineering leadership role
Strong knowledge of Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture
Experience driving technical decisions across teams
Passion for high-quality engineering and mentoring others
