Lead C# Backend Developer Location: Central London (Onsite) Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 Type: Permanent Sponsorship: Not available (must be UK-based) Overview We are working with an established software house based in Central London who are looking to hire a Lead C# Backend Developer to join their growing engineering team. This is a fully onsite role, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Role & Responsibilities Lead the design and development of scalable backend systems using C# and .NET Framework Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers Take ownership of backend architecture and ensure best practices are followed Work closely with cross-functional teams including front-end, QA, and product Contribute to system design, performance optimisation, and code quality Participate in code reviews and promote clean, maintainable coding standards Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues Key Requirements Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET Framework Deep understanding of backend development principles and architecture Strong experience working with SQL and relational databases Proven experience in a Lead or Senior Developer position Experience building scalable, high-performance applications Strong understanding of software design patterns and best practices Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Desirable Skills Experience with modern .NET (Core / .NET 6+) Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred) Experience working in an Agile environment Additional Information This role is fully onsite in Central London Candidates must already be UK-based and have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available) Opportunity to join a well-established software business with a strong technical team If you are a hands-on Lead Developer looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced environment, please apply or get in touch for more information
