Lead Driller Doncaster £35,000 - £42,000 + overtime + company vehicle (depending on experience) A well-established ground investigation contractor based in Doncaster is looking to appoint an experienced Lead Driller to join their growing site team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a competent driller who can confidently lead a rig and crew on a wide range of ground investigation projects across Yorkshire and the wider UK. The company delivers high-quality site investigation services across residential, commercial and infrastructure schemes and has a strong reputation for technical delivery and safety. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely and to a high standard. The Role: Operating and leading cable percussion and/or rotary drilling rigs Supervising and mentoring Assistant Drillers Carrying out in-situ testing including SPTs, window sampling and dynamic probing Installing monitoring wells and soakaways Ensuring accurate completion of site records and borehole logs Maintaining plant, equipment and vehicles Working closely with Engineers and Project Managers on site Ensuring full compliance with health & safety procedures Requirements: Proven experience as a Lead Driller within ground investigation Experience with cable percussion and/or rotary rigs Valid CSCS card (NVQ Level 2 in Land Drilling preferred) Full UK driving licence Strong understanding of health & safety on site Willingness to travel and stay away when required What's on Offer: Competitive base salary Overtime and bonus opportunities Company vehicle Ongoing training and development Stable pipeline of work across the region Clear progression opportunities within an expanding contractor This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Lead Driller in Doncaster who is looking to join a reputable contractor with a strong workload and long-term stability
