Lead EMC Engineer Rail

Salary: circa £75,000 to £98,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
Where: Birmingham/London office, in office 3 days per week, 2 from home

Essential requirements:
Strong EMC experience on large infrastructure projects (rail desirable, not essential)
Background in sectors such as rail, power, T&D, or renewables
Experience working client-side or within a main contractor environment
Strong understanding of EMC standards and regulatory frameworks
Ability to lead through influence within matrix organisations
Chartered Engineer or working towards
Key responsibilities:
Lead EMC integration across multiple infrastructure and rail systems packages
Develop and maintain standards, specifications, and EMC strategies
Manage EMC risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Collaborate with contractors and SMEs to drive consistent delivery
Engage with external stakeholders to manage interface risks beyond the railway
This is a high-impact role offering the chance to shape EMC strategy on a nationally significant programme.
