Lead Primary Engineer

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Lead Primary Engineer on a 6 month Rolling contract based In Glasgow. Role Summary The Primary Engineer will be a member of our UK Engineering Team and will contribute towards the effective execution of the primary engineering functions within projects and tenders. Primary Engineer will lead and work in a skilled team on a wide range of SSEN & SPEN substation projects. Requirements · Bachelor or Master’s in electrical engineering or equivalent · Extensive substation engineering experience in utilities, particularly in transmission electrical networks. · Knowledge of SSEN & SPEN requirements, policies and standards. Competencies/ Skills Required: · Result orientated team player with a proactive approach. · Excellent in communication, to interact with external and internal parties at all levels in a multi-cultural environment. · Expert knowledge in Substation primary design and engineering, Layouts, Grounding & Lightning design, Steel design inputs, transformers, HV & MV Switchgear systems, HV & MV cable calculations, earthing calculations. · Strong in MS Office, knowledge in MicroStation and AutoCAD is required. · Fluency in English – both written and spoken Our Company Rubicon Consulting is a Talent management consultancy which helps you to optimise business performance and competitive advantage by choosing the right people first time
