Apply NowWe are recruiting for a hands-on Senior Welder / Fabricator who is ready to take the next step into a team leader role within a busy sheet metal fabrication workshop.
This role is ideal for someone who still enjoys being on the tools but wants to start taking on more responsibility supporting and guiding a small team.
You will work closely with a team of around 8 fabricators and welders, helping organise daily workloads while remaining fully involved in fabrication and welding tasks.
The Role
This is a very hands-on shop floor role – around 80–90% on the tools.
You will be responsible for:
* MIG/TIG welding and metal fabrication work
* Reading and working from engineering drawings
* Supporting the day-to-day running of the fabrication shop floor
* Helping organise workloads across the team
* Ensuring jobs are completed safely and to quality standards
* Carrying out basic quality checks
* Supporting and guiding junior fabricators where needed
* Working with management to keep production running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
* Strong hands-on welding and fabrication experience
* Ability to read and work from technical drawings
* Experience working in a sheet metal or fabrication environment
* Someone who enjoys working on the shop floor
* Keen to step into more responsibility within a team
You may currently be a:
* Senior Welder
* Senior Fabricator
* Experienced MIG/TIG Welder
* Fabricator looking for their first step into leadership
