Learning Support Assistant

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (Full Time) Location: Colchester Start Date: Easter 2026 We are currently recruiting for a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and supportive school in Colchester, starting Easter 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and helping them achieve their full potential. The role will involve working closely with teachers to provide 1:1 and small group support, assisting pupils with additional learning needs, and helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: * Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups * Assisting the class teacher with lesson activities and classroom management * Supporting pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum * Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning * Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning materials Requirements: * Experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable) * A patient, supportive and caring approach * Good communication and teamwork skills * A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners Position Details: * Full-time role * Based in Colchester * Start date: Easter 2026 * Long-term opportunity with potential for permanent placement If you are enthusiastic about making a difference in children's education, we would love to hear from you.
