Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – ASD – Nailsea – £95–£110 per day Learning Support Assistant | LSA | ASD | SEN | ABA | PECS | Makaton | Nailsea | North Somerset | £95–£110 per day A supportive and inclusive school in Nailsea, North Somerset is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils with Autism (ASD). This is a full-time role starting ASAP and would suit someone with experience working in SEN, particularly supporting children with additional communication and behavioural needs. The Role – ASD Learning Support Assistant * Full-time LSA position * Supporting pupils with Autism (ASD) * 1:1 and small group support * Implementing EHCP targets and individual support plans * Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO * Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning Experience or knowledge of the following is highly desirable: * ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) * PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) * Makaton * Structured behaviour support strategies * Communication-led interventions The Ideal Candidate * Experience as a Learning Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or Support Worker * Previous experience supporting children with ASD * Calm, patient and consistent approach * Strong communication skills * Passion for supporting pupils with additional needs This role would suit experienced LSAs, SEN specialists, psychology graduates, or candidates with a background in care or behavioural support.
