Learning Support Assistant – Hillingdon Location: Hillingdon, West London Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work in a mainstream two-form entry primary school in Hillingdon. This supportive school welcomes pupils of all abilities and offers a nurturing environment for learning and growth. The school provides strong career progression opportunities for staff. This role focuses on supporting pupils with SEN across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping them access the curriculum and delivering targeted interventions to boost learning, engagement, and personal development. The Role: * Provide support for pupils with SEN across KS1 or KS2 * Deliver targeted interventions to support learning and skill development * Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and classroom activities * Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff * Promote independence, confidence, and social skills * Assist with personal care or mobility needs if required What We’re Looking For: * Experience supporting SEN pupils in nursery or primary settings in the UK * Confident in using PECS, Makaton, or other communication tools * Experience delivering learning interventions in KS1 or KS2 * Patient, compassionate, and resilient approach * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What’s on Offer: * Supportive and friendly mainstream school environment * SEN-focused training and professional development opportunities * Opportunities for career progression * A highly rewarding role making a meaningful difference every day
