Are you an experienced Legal Cashier looking for your next opportunity within a friendly, professional and supportive law firm?
Our client, a well-established legal practice based in Hale, is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Legal Cashier to play a key role in the smooth running of their finance function. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team where your expertise and attention to detail will be genuinely valued.
The Role
As Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, ensuring compliance, accuracy and efficiency across all accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Processing accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently
✔ Reconciling client and office accounts
✔ Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
✔ Preparing invoices, receipts and payments
✔ Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
✔ Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal procedures
✔ Managing petty cash and employee expenses
✔ Supporting external auditors and accountants when required
What We're Looking For
✅ Previous experience as a Legal Cashier in the UK or within a legal finance environment
✅ Knowledge of legal accounting processes and reconciliations
✅ Experience using ALB software would be highly advantageous
✅ Understanding of SRA Accounts Rules would be beneficial, although training can be provided
✅ Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
✅ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
✅ Confident communication skills and a professional approach
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✅ Finance or accountancy qualifications are desirable but not essential
