Job Summary
As an LGV Class 1 Gas Driver, you’ll transport gas safely and reliably, following delivery instructions and road-safety procedures. Your careful handling helps customers receive essential supplies safely and on time.
Full training will be provided.
£20.59-£37 per hour
London Weighting £150 per month.
1.5x Overtime rate.
(PAYE and umbrella rates available)
Responsibilities
* Drive an LGV Class 1 vehicle to complete planned gas deliveries.
* Safely load and deliver in accordance with customer requirements.
* Carry out vehicle checks and report defects before or during journeys.
* Follow site procedures and relevant safety requirements when loading and delivering.
* Keep delivery records accurate and communicate any delays or issues.
Skills
* Required: appropriate LGV Class 1 entitlement and a safe, responsible approach to driving.
* Commercial driving experience is useful; delivery driver experience is preferred.
* Gas tanker experience is an advantage.
* Strong communication, reliability and attention to detail.
Essential: Candidates must have:
ADR (class 2)
Hold a current LGV class 1 (C&E) licence with no more than three points.
Have a minimum of 2 years experience of class 1 driving
Hold a valid CPC licence
Previous Gas/ Fuels experience and PDP are not required as full training will be given.
You must have no more than 3 penalty points on your licence, none of which are related to drink/drug driving offences or dangerous driving.
You are required to:
Have the ability to work shift patterns that include days, nights, and weekends.
Live within a maximum of 45 minute commute from the location at which you are applying to work.
Maintain high levels of customer focus with a keen eye for detail and process.
Be able to follow instructions in line with comprehensive Company procedures and within strict industry guidelines.

* Class 1 driving : 2 years (required)
