Logistics Coordinator – Supply Chain / Customs Location: UK (On-site) Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 + Benefits Job Type: Full-time | Temp to Perm (Maternity Cover) Start Date: Within 2 weeks The Opportunity FT Recruitment are working with a growing and well-established business within the steel distribution sector, looking to bring in a Logistics Coordinator to support their supply chain operations. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you’ll be coordinating shipments, handling customs documentation, and ensuring goods move efficiently across the supply chain. There is a clear pathway to a permanent role, making this a strong opportunity for someone looking for stability and progression. Key Responsibilities * Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of steel pipes and tubes * Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth delivery * Prepare and manage customs documentation for imports and exports * Maintain accurate shipment and logistics records * Support internal teams with scheduling and shipment tracking * Identify and support improvements in logistics and documentation processes What We’re Looking For * Previous experience in a logistics / supply chain coordination role * Strong working knowledge of customs processes and documentation * Experience preparing import/export paperwork * Highly organised with strong attention to detail * Confident communicator able to deal with multiple stakeholders Working Hours & Benefits * Monday to Friday * 8:00am – 5:00pm (flexible start between 7:00am – 8:30am) * Option to work condensed hours (4 longer days + early finish Friday) * On-site parking
