Salary: £28,243 + 17% Shift Premium (£33,044) (£18.16 per hour)
Hours: 35 hours per week (rotating shifts)
A leading global precision engineering manufacturer is seeking four Machine Operators to join their established site in Clevedon. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent role after an initial 12-week temporary period within a high-spec, regulated manufacturing environment.
The Role
You will be working within a busy engineering environment, supporting production and ensuring work is completed to a high standard, safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating engineering machinery (CNC, manual lathes, milling machines, polishing equipment)
Setting up machines and tooling
Reading and working from engineering drawings
Carrying out quality checks and measurements
Working to production targets and deadlines
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment (5S)
Following all health and safety procedures
About You
Essential:
Experience operating machinery within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Good mechanical understanding
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential):
CNC setting or programming experience
Polishing experience
Engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds or Apprenticeship)
Shift Pattern
Monday to Thursday:
05:50 – 14:00
13:50 – 22:00
Friday:
05:50 – 11:20
11:10 – 16:40
Rotating fortnightly
