Machine Operator / Tool Setter

CNC Machine Setter Haas & Citizen Sliding Head Machines Worcester | Full-Time | Permanent We are a well-established and growing manufacturing company based in Worcester, specialising in precision-engineered components for a range of industries. Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machine Setter to join our skilled production team. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating: * Haas CNC Machines (3/4/5 axis machining centres or lathes as applicable) * Citizen Sliding Head Machines You will play a key role in ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and minimising downtime. Key Responsibilities * Setting and operating Haas and Citizen sliding head machines * Loading tooling and making offsets * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings * First-off inspection and in-process quality checks * Working to tight tolerances * Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives * Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Requirements * Proven experience setting Haas CNC machines * Experience with Citizen sliding head machines * Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges) * Strong understanding of machining principles and tooling * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Good problem-solving skills Desirable * Experience with Fanuc controls * Previous experience in precision engineering or subcontract manufacturing * Apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification If you are an experienced CNC Setter looking for a new opportunity in the Worcester area, we would love to hear from you
