Our Client Our client is a well-established, family-run development and manufacturing company specialising in the design, development and manufacture of electronic power systems. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a hands-on Machine Shop Supervisor to lead and support their CNC manufacturing team. The Role  This is a practical, shop-floor-based leadership position. You will oversee CNC programming, setting and machining operations while ensuring production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are consistently achieved. Key Responsibilities  Lead, organise and motivate a team of machine shop operatives Oversee CNC programming of lathes and mills in line with engineering drawings (SolidCAM experience advantageous) Supervise machine setting and operation in accordance with company procedures Expedite production to ensure parts are manufactured on time and to specification Manage raw material stock in line with production requirements Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues Perform basic machine maintenance and support continuous improvement Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment using 5S+1 principles Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards Experience & Skills  Minimum 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment, including supervisory responsibility Strong CNC machining background (lathes and mills) Solid understanding of programming principles; SolidCAM experience desirable (training available) Proven ability to optimise machine utilisation, reduce costs and improve quality Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability Confident communicator at all levels, internally and externally Full driving licence and own transport The Individual  Self-motivated and proactive with a positive approach High attention to detail and commitment to quality Practical leader who leads by example Effective team player with strong written and verbal communication skills Hours  Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:45pm Friday: 8:00am – 12:30pm This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, technically focused business where you can make a direct impact on production performance and team development
