Apply NowWe are seeking a Machine Shop/CNC Team Leader to work for a successful manufacturing company in Leighton buzzard.
This is a permanent position 40 hours pw. Working pattern; Monday to Friday; 8am to 4.30pm. Based on site.
Purpose of the role:
To ensure the smooth daily running of the factory ensuring all targets are met on time whilst maintaining Quality and Health & Safety standards.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Organising daily workload and resources to ensure that work is carried out to the manufacturing schedule to achieve production KPI’s – OTD / Quality / Arrears lines and Values / Late Starts monitoring.
• Plan / delegate team priorities on a daily basis as appropriate, authorize team members holiday requests and follow up periods of absence / sickness.
• Responsibility for daily production and Quality performance against given KPI targets per above.
• Set and Run assigned machinery safely as trained and required
• Ensure First Offs / In process inspections are carried out as appropriate.
Essential Skills and Experience
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Supervising or leading a team.
• Working to and achieving KPIs (e.g., Safety, Quality, Delivery etc).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning and quality systems
• PC literacy including Microsoft office programs
• Able to read CAD drawings and Conduct First Off Inspection
- MUST HAVE MACHINING EXPERIENCE AS A TURNER OR A MILLER
