Machinist - Day Shift Location: Bradford, BD4 Hours: Full-time, Day Shift (6am–2pm), 37.5 hours per week Salary: Up to £30k DOE Contract Type: Permanent About the Role We are seeking a Machinist to join our expanding team, working within the prototypes and development area. This position plays a key role in supporting new product development and future business opportunities by producing high‑quality, precision components. You will be part of a small, specialist team providing a professional, responsive service to both internal stakeholders and external customers. Key Responsibilities * Set, operate, and programme CNC machinery to produce precision components * Interpret detailed engineering drawings and work from CAD data * Use inspection and measuring equipment—including micrometers, verniers, and height gauges—to validate component accuracy * Work collaboratively across departments to support development projects and prototype builds * Troubleshoot machining issues and contribute to continuous improvement within the Technical Centre * Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work area in line with engineering best practice * Support problem‑solving activities and uphold a high standard of professionalism at all times What We’re Looking For * Engineering apprenticeship trained to national standard (or equivalent) * Minimum 2 years’ machining experience in a relevant environment * Strong CNC machining and programming capability * Ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings and CAD information * Skilled in the use of precision measuring equipment * Excellent organisational and machine‑setting skills Benefits * Competitive salary * Day shift working hours (6am–2pm) * Opportunity to work in a highly specialised technical environment * Modern, well-equipped facility * Supportive team culture with strong development opportunities Interested?
