Maintenance Assistant (Permanent)
We are seeking a hands-on and reliable Operations Maintenance Assistant to support the day-to-day upkeep and smooth running of a high-end private property.
This is a varied and practical role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across a range of maintenance tasks and takes pride in delivering high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out general maintenance and minor repair works across the property
Move, lift, and reposition furniture and equipment as required
Assemble furniture, shelving, and other items
Support small building or improvement projects
Identify and report maintenance issues such as leaks, damage, or faults
Assist with storage and warehouse organisation, including logging items in and out
Undertake basic carpentry and general practical tasks
Source materials from local suppliers when required
Support and oversee contractors on-site where needed
Provide general support across the team, including occasional on-call assistance
About You
Proven experience in a similar maintenance or facilities role
Strong practical skills with the ability to carry out a range of hands-on tasks
Experience in at least one trade (e.g. carpentry, plastering, tiling)
Confident using hand tools and equipment
Full, clean UK driving licence (ability to drive a van)
Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
