The Opportunity - Maintenance Engineer I am recruiting a couple of Maintenance Engineer to join the site maintenance team at our Trafford Park manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role supporting a busy heavy industrial environment, where your ability to diagnose faults quickly, restore production, and drive reliability will be key. Key Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer * Providing responsive breakdown support to keep production running safely and efficiently * Carrying out electrical fault finding, repair, and diagnostic work on production machinery * Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and documenting work completed * Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and uptime * Working safely in line with site Health & Safety standards, risk assessments and permits to work * Assisting with mechanical maintenance tasks when required (e.g., bearings, belts, guards, alignment) * Liaising with production teams and external contractors to coordinate repairs and maintenance activity * Ensuring accurate completion of maintenance records and reporting recurring issues to improve reliability The ideal candidate - Maintenance Engineer * Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing, production, or heavy industry * Strong fault-finding capability on electrical systems including motors, control panels, relays, sensors, drives/inverters * Comfortable supporting basic maintenance tasks as part of a multi-skilled team * Ability to work safely under pressure during breakdown situations and prioritise effectively * Good communication skills and a professional, team-focused approach Qualifications / Certifications (Preferred) - Maintenance Engineer * Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)(essential) * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable) * Experience in industrial control systems / PLC fault finding (advantageous) * IOSH / H&S awareness training (beneficial) What We Offer * Competitive salary with shift allowance included * 25 days annual leave * Private medical cover (after qualifying period) * Pension 5% company contribution * Early Finish Friday * Employee Discount Hub * Death in Service for all employees from day 1 – 1 x salary payout whilst in probationary period or fixed term; 4 x salary payout after PP. * 37-hour working week with 3-shift rotation * Regular overtime opportunities * Stable employment within an established industrial manufacturing operation * Supportive engineering team environment with opportunities for development Interested apply now
