Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer £30,000 – £38,000 per year Location: CO7 Pin Point Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, family-run business within the fresh produce sector. This is a hands-on role offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to work in a supportive, multicultural environment where teamwork and high standards are valued. You will play a vital role in ensuring machinery, equipment, and site facilities are maintained to a safe, reliable, and compliant standard, supporting smooth day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities * Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery and site facilities * Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions * Undertake general building maintenance (plumbing and electrical experience desirable) * Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and technical standards * Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues clearly * Work closely with operational teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency * Support site projects, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives About You * Practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills * Previous experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance (experience within food production, packhouse, or similar environments is advantageous) * Good understanding of health & safety requirements and safe working practices * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team * Flexible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards Additional Information This role operates within a 7-day, seasonal environment, therefore flexibility is essential.
