A global manufacturer based in Huddersfield is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Maintenance team.
This role offers a mix of electrical and mechanical work across factory build, testing and site installation. It’s a stable business with a strong reputation, long-term projects and clear scope for development.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer
Build and assemble electrical and mechanical equipment within a factory environment
Carry out testing, inspections and checks prior to delivery
Support installation and commissioning of equipment at customer sites when required
Complete electrical wiring, mechanical fit-out and sub-assemblies to drawings and specifications
Ensure all work is completed in line with quality, safety and cGMP standards
Take responsibility for job documentation and quality records
Work to production schedules and take ownership of assigned tasks
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to deliver projects on time
Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualifications (C&G / NVQ / HNC / HND)
Experience working within an FMCG environment
Electrical installation experience
Comfortable working in both factory and site-based settings
Strong fault-finding skills
Ability to read and work from drawings and specifications
Benefits of the Maintenance Engineer
Overtime paid in addition to basic salary
Annual performance related salary increase
Monthly and annual bonus opportunities
24 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
Closed between Christmas and New Year
Holiday increases to 25 days after 1 year
Additional 1 day holiday for every 5 years service up to 30 days
9% pension contribution
Death in service life cover
