Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer £50,000 - £54,000 Northamptonshire | 4 on, 4 off (Days & Nights) Looking for a role that genuinely challenges your engineering ability? You'll be hands-on with complex production equipment, working at the forefront of advanced processing technologies, supporting a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Working a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights), you'll benefit from extended time off while playing a key role in keeping production running at peak performance. What you'll be doing: Carrying out fault finding, repair, and preventative maintenance on complex production equipment Supporting uptime and minimising disruption through effective and proactive maintenance strategies Working with specialist systems involving gases, chemicals, and high-spec process equipment Driving continuous improvement across equipment reliability and performance Mentoring and supporting junior technicians on shift Assisting with equipment installs, moves, and site-based engineering projects Managing consumables, spares, and supporting safe handling of materials Liaising with external suppliers and technical specialists Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards What we're looking for: Strong electrical engineering background (including low and high voltage) Experience with fault finding on complex equipment in a manufacturing or process environment Understanding of PLCs and pneumatic systems Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics Comfortable working with hazardous materials in a controlled environment Engineering qualification (HND, Degree, or equivalent) Previous experience in high-tech manufacturing, process, or regulated industries This is a role for engineers who enjoy being technically challenged, solving problems under pressure, and working with advanced equipment that pushes your skillset.
