Maintenance Engineer
We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing business based in Spalding. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical equipment, ensuring optimal plant performance at all times.
You will play a key role in supporting operations by monitoring plant services, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all maintenance activities are completed in line with company systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Work as part of the Maintenance team to support operational performance
* Carry out all tasks with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
* Deliver a reliability-centred maintenance function, including preventative maintenance
* Take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and close out work using the CMMS system
* Diagnose and resolve day-to-day equipment and system faults effectively
* Participate in an on-call rota as required

Requirements
* Time-served Electrical or Mechatronic Apprenticeship (or equivalent qualification)
* Experience working within facilities and/or cold store environments
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to apply engineering principles in a practical, hands-on environment
* Proactive, problem-solving mindset
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:00
* Early finish on rotation: 08:30 – 16:00
* Weekend work included on a rota basis
