Job Title: Night Shift Maintenance Engineer Location: Doncaster - Stainforth Salary: £46,800 Industry: FMCG Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Shift: Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Friday Hours: 45 Hours Per Week – 1 Hour Paid Lunch Per Day Do you have Maintenance Engineering experience in FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Automotive, Plastics or Packaging environments and happy to work the Night Shift? Benefits: • Competitive salary package • Stable, long-term position within a well-established manufacturing business • Excellent career progression opportunities within engineering and management • Investment in training and professional development • Exposure to a modern automated manufacturing environment • Supportive engineering leadership team • Opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement and site development projects • Secure role within the essential food manufacturing sector Key Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities: • Perform reactive maintenance and PPM on machinery to ensure reliability. • Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. • Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions to prevent issues. • Prioritise engineering tasks in line with night shift production needs. • Maintain health & safety and food safety compliance while working in controlled environments. • Record maintenance activity in the CMMS and keep documentation up to date. • Support continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades. • Keep engineering areas clean, organised, and safe. • Manage spare parts and tools, ensuring availability and maintenance standards. Requirements: Qualifications • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering • Completed apprenticeship or recognised engineering training preferred Experience • 3+ years’ experience in engineering roles • 2+ years’ experience in FMCG or food manufacturing • Skilled in PPM, breakdown repairs, and fault finding • Familiarity with production machinery and plant equipment
