Maintenance Fitter

Questech Recruitment are currently partnering with a well-established and reputable manufacturing business in Leeds who are looking to strengthen their maintenance team with the addition of an experienced Maintenance Fitter.
Location: Leeds (LS10)
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00 | Friday: 06:30 – 15:00
The Role:
* Carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across site machinery
* Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out effective repairs to minimise downtime
* Working on a range of equipment including conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, motors and hydraulics/pneumatics
* Supporting continuous improvement activities to enhance machine reliability and efficiency
* Assisting with installations, upgrades and project work when required
* Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures
* Accurately completing maintenance records and documentation
Requirements:
* Mechanical bias with a recognised qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* Proven experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
* Experience working with mechanical systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proactive approach with a strong work ethic
