Maintenance Operative/Lance Operator – Specialist Maintenance Services / Engineering Providing consulting and niche engineering and maintenance services predominantly to the energy, waste and biomass sectors across the UK and Ireland, we are an employer of choice, fostering a good team spirit and employee involvement at all levels. THE MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE ROLE Working as part of a small team lead by the Team Leader to ensure allocated tasks are achieved on time and according to specification, whilst delivering essential plant/machinery maintenance and cleaning services Manual role, working with specialist equipment, occasionally in confined space and at times challenging conditions (full training and PPE supplied) Complying with instructions to ensure client requirements are carried out efficiently, in line with risk assessments, method statements and operational procedures whilst following specified work instructions Receipt, storage, transportation and use of tools and other equipment, to ensure reliable stock control and accurate equipment inventory records Adhering to Health & Safety standards at all times both on and off site; keeping work areas clean and tidy, identifying and reporting any potential hazards Carrying out equipment maintenance tasks and general yard duties as directed Working on client sites, requiring a professional demeanor at all times MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE REQUIREMENTS Driving licence (essential) Ability to travel from our Guildford site, and stay overnight in hotels as required (fully funded on expenses) Indefinite right to remain in the UK (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship) Able to self commute to our Guildford site, whilst you will drive our specialist vans, those are NOT taken home for personal use MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE PAY & BENEFITS: Basic starting salary of £25,500 increasing quickly to £27,000 on completion of short training course; plus additional allowances paid into your salary at approximately £500 monthly; plus overtime bringing a typical Lance Operator annual take home pay of up to £42,300, plus discretionary bonus (10% annual), pension ++  Travel with overnight stays (funded) from our Guildford headquarters; annual leave 30 days including bank holidays - increasing with each years’ completed service; usual working hours Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm
