Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Bedlington Our client is a leader in their field are recruiting for a Maintenance Technicians to join their growing team! Roles and Responsibilities: * Ability to work under pressure and in a busy environment to achieve business targets * Competent in all Maintenance Engineering principles * Demonstrate company values through behaviour * Respond to equipment breakdown, diagnosing and rectifying faults * Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities * Perform fault finding on equipment and source parts * Analyse breakdown causes and instigates corrective actions * Undertake minor electronic repairs * Understand the needs of production and make adjustments to ensure good process control and quality * Set up machines and teach others how to do so * Participate in Quality Improvement Teams * Obtain quotations and raise Purchase Requisitions for machine parts * Keep up to date Preventative Maintenance logs, machine breakdown details, service and repair records * Undertake risk assessments on a variety of plant and equipment across the site * Ensure that safe working practices are always adopted Ideal Candidate: * BTEC NVQ Level 3 Apprenticeship * HNC in relevant Engineering/Maintenance discipline * Microsoft Office skills (including Excel, Word and Outlook) * Knowledge of Pneumatics * SAP experience desirable * 5+ years outside of apprenticeship experience * Proven Fault Diagnosis Experience * Total Planned Maintenance (TPM) knowledge * Strong attention to detail, capable of problem solving and decision making Working Hours and Benefits * Early shift: Monday – Thursday: 06:30am – 14:30pm, Friday: 06:30am – 14:00pm * Late shift: Monday – Thursday: 14:30pm – 23:00pm, Friday: 14:00pm – 19:30pm * Shift premiums are 17.57% for the Early shift and 22.97% for the Late shift Jackie Kerr Recruitment is an independent agency that has been established for 28 years.
