Maintenance Technician
We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a busy production facility. This is a hands-on role focused on minimising downtime, improving reliability, and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently. This is a permanent nightshift position 4 on 4 off. You’ll play a key role in maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Key Responsibilities * Respond quickly and effectively to mechanical and electrical breakdowns * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) * Diagnose faults on production machinery and implement permanent fixes * Work on motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, sensors and control systems * Support installation and commissioning of new equipment * Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety standards * Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability projects About You * Multi-skilled with both mechanical and electrical competence * Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics * Comfortable working independently and as part of a team * Proactive, reliable, and safety-focused Qualifications * NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Engineering (or equivalent) * 17th/18th Edition (if electrically biased) * Apprenticeship trained Benefits: * Attractive 4 on 4 off shift pattern * Excellent salary 53k-60k * Overtime Available * Excellent pension * Annual Bonus * Private Healthcare * Training and development opportunities * Stable, long-term opportunity within a growing business
