Male Complex Care HCA – Paediatric 1:1 Package

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Male Healthcare Assistant to support a 10-year-old wheelchair user within a 1:1 complex care package in Harrow. The client has significant neurological and respiratory needs following a previous accident and requires consistent, skilled support. Clinical Overview The client has: * Epilepsy * Recurrent chest infections * Severe cognitive impairment * Night-time oxygen requirement Clinical Skills Required (Essential) * PEG feeding and pump management * Oxygen administration * Seizure monitoring and management * Secretion management * Use of cough assist and nebuliser * Manual handling and safe transfers * Mobility assistance (wheelchair & standing frame) * Vital observations and escalation of deterioration Candidates must be confident recognising early warning signs and responding appropriately. Role Responsibilities * Personal care * PEG feed administration * Respiratory support * Monitoring and documentation * Supporting mobility and positioning * Providing safe and consistent 1:1 care Requirements * Minimum 12 months complex care experience * Previous paediatric experience preferred * Male carer required (package requirement) * Confident working independently * Calm, patient, and reliable This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, consistent care within a structured home setting.
