Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE + Benefits
Monday – Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm

Job Purpose
A growing organisation is seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to join a fast paced, high volume logistics environment. This role is ideally suited to someone who can quickly embed themselves within the business, hit the ground running and provide meaningful financial insight to support operational and strategic decision making.
Working closely with both finance and commercial teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving performance, improving visibility and ensuring robust financial control across the business.
Job Duties
Producing daily and weekly vehicle costings to support trading performance and highlight trends
Preparing accurate and timely monthly management and financial accounts, ensuring full transparency across the business
Partnering with the commercial team to validate pricing models, tenders and new business opportunities
Delivering clear, actionable financial analysis to internal stakeholders to enhance commercial understanding and drive profitability
Maintaining structured, client level accounts to support operational and strategic decision making
Supporting senior leadership with reporting, analysis and ad hoc project work
Mentoring and developing junior finance team members, including Finance Assistants and an apprentice
Reviewing and approving sales invoices, payments and core financial processes to ensure accuracy and control
Preparing detailed MI packs, balance sheet reconciliations and monthly board reports
Producing separate financial reporting for multiple regions, ensuring correct application of tariffs, charges and taxes
Contributing to business strategy by challenging assumptions, supporting budgeting processes and aligning financial targets with performance
Managing cashflow and monitoring key financial metrics to maintain financial stability
Evaluating and improving financial systems and processes to drive efficiency and scalability
Leading the preparation of annual budgets and ongoing forecasts in line with business performance
Ensuring full compliance with financial regulations, including taxation, capital and debt requirements
Completing VAT returns and preparing associated payments accurately and on time
Analysing financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
Supporting year end processes, including audit preparation, reporting and reconciliations
Skills Required
CIMA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified
Strong analytical ability
Advanced Excel skills
High level of accuracy
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
Confident communicating finance insights to non finance teams
