Managing Director - RF & Antenna Technology Manufacturing Location: Maine, USA An opportunity has arisen for a Managing Director - RF & Antenna Technology Manufacturing to lead the US operations of a specialist engineering manufacturer developing RF antenna feeds and antenna system components used across communications infrastructure, satellite communications and defence applications. The organisation is part of an international engineering group with multiple global sites. The US operation functions as a specialist manufacturing and engineering facility focused on the design, development and production of custom RF antenna feed systems and waveguide transmission components used within larger communications and antenna platforms. The business operates with a lean engineering and manufacturing team, generating multi-million-dollar annual revenues. It specialises in highly engineered, low-volume RF products, taking projects from customer requirements through RF design and development to precision machining, assembly and RF performance testing. Products are custom designed and built to order, used within communications systems where RF signals are transmitted through waveguides and emitted via antenna feeds into larger antenna or satellite dish systems. This role forms part of a planned leadership succession following a successful business transformation. The incoming Managing Director will maintain operational performance while supporting the next phase of growth, including expanding US-based manufacturing capability to support programmes requiring domestic production. The position suits an experienced technical leader comfortable operating hands-on within a small engineering-led organisation, bringing strong commercial, operational and leadership capability.
