This is a rare opportunity to lead commercial delivery on a flagship £100M+ city centre build with a highly respected Tier 1 contractor. As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be the #1 commercial lead, shaping outcomes on a project with a 2‑year+ programme and strong ongoing pipeline potential. Opportunity As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be entrusted with full commercial accountability from inception through delivery. You’ll work collaboratively with project directors, design teams and subcontractors to drive cost certainty, commercial strategy and risk management. Your performance will be visible at the highest level, and this role is a true platform for future Regional Commercial Manager progression. Responsibilities • Lead all commercial activities for a high‑profile £100M+ project in Manchester city centre • Prepare and refine cost plans, forecasts, valuations and commercial reports • Manage contractual risk, procurement strategy and subcontractor engagement • Drive commercial decisions and provide clear recommendations to senior leadership • Ensure accurate measurement, variation control, and cost reporting throughout the programme • Mentor and develop junior commercial staff, embedding best practice What’s in it for You This Managing Quantity Surveyor role provides a competitive salary of £80,000–£90,000 plus a car allowance and comprehensive benefits.
