Managing Quantity Surveyor – Responsive Repairs | Middlesbrough We are working with a leading organisation in the housing and maintenance sector to recruit a Managing Quantity Surveyor for their Middlesbrough-based Commercial team. This opportunity has arisen due to internal progression and offers the chance to join a growing, forward-thinking business. The Role You’ll lead the commercial function across responsive repairs and void works, managing a team of Surveyors while driving profitability, performance, and client value. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on contract and financial management. Key Responsibilities Lead commercial performance across repairs contracts Manage financial reporting, CVRs, valuations, and cash flow Oversee subcontractor management and dispute resolution Mentor and develop junior Surveyors Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams About You Experience in a Senior QS / Managing Surveyor role (repairs/maintenance preferred) Strong knowledge of Schedule of Rates (SOR) contracts Proven commercial acumen and subcontractor management experience Advanced Excel and data analysis skills Strong leadership and communication skills Package Profit share scheme Car allowance + fuel card Private medical, life assurance & health insurance 23 days holiday + bank holidays (buy/sell options) Enhanced family leave & wellbeing support Ongoing training and development
