Manufacturing engineer
Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Glascoed. Key Responsibilities: Designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing solutions Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to resolve production issues Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards Developing and maintaining process documentation and work instructions Monitoring production metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives Providing technical support to production teams and troubleshooting operational problems Coordinating with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services Job Requirements: Experience in manufacturing engineering within the Defence & Security sector Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and methodologies someone who has worked in a lab previously Proficiency in using relevant software and tools Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills BPSS security clearance to start Ability to work onsite from Monday to Thursday, with flexibility to consolidate 37 hours into 4 days Benefits: Opportunity to work in a leading Defence & Security organisation Potential for contract extension or transition to a permanent role Overtime opportunities available Engage in exciting and challenging projects Chance to work within a skilled and dynamic team If you are a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with a background in Defence & Security and are looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
