Manufacturing Engineer – Hypermill Programmer
We are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer / Hypermill Programmer to join a forward-thinking precision engineering company based in Romford. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC manufacturing professional with strong Hypermill CAD/CAM programming experience and a background in 3, 4 and 5-axis machining. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing efficient manufacturing processes, supporting production, and implementing advanced machining strategies to meet demanding engineering standards. Key Responsibilities * Develop and optimise CNC programmes using Hypermill for 3, 4 and 5-axis machining centres * Create and implement manufacturing processes and methods to meet production and engineering requirements * Own and manage the configuration of all supporting process elements, including: * Production routings * Tooling and work holding * Gauges and test equipment * Determine materials, tooling, and machining strategies required to achieve manufacturing goals in line with product specifications * Ensure projects are delivered within budget and agreed timescales * Support the development and maintenance of process documentation to enhance quality and process control * Conduct ongoing research into emerging manufacturing technologies to support future production strategies and continuous improvement Requirements * Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer * Strong experience programming with Hypermill CAD/CAM * Experience programming 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machines * Strong understanding of precision machining, tooling selection, and manufacturing processes * Ability to develop and improve efficient machining strategies * Good organisational and project management skills * Experience supporting production environments and continuous improvement initiatives Benefits In addition to a competitive salary, the successful candidate will receive: * Benenden Healthcare – employee contribution scheme * Employee Assistance Programme * Holiday entitlement: 23 days + bank holidays (increasing to 26 days after 5 years) * Family-friendly working hours with some flexibility on start/finish times * Shorter working day on Fridays * Life Assurance – 4x annual salary * Company Pension Scheme – 3% employer contribution * Whirlpool Discount Scheme * On-site parking Apply Now If you are an experienced Hypermill Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer looking to join a progressive engineering business with excellent benefits and long-term career prospects, we would love to hear from you
