The Role Due to continued growth, the business is seeking an experienced Materials Buyer to join their team. This is a key role supporting project delivery through effective procurement of materials, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely supply across multiple sites. As Materials Buyer, you will be responsible for: Procuring materials in line with project requirements and timelines Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers Negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules Managing purchase orders and ensuring accurate record-keeping Monitoring stock levels and coordinating deliveries to site Working closely with project managers and site teams to forecast material needs Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality Ensuring all procurement activities align with company procedures and budgets The Ideal Candidate The successful Materials Buyer will have: Previous experience in a buying role within construction, ideally interiors or drylining Strong knowledge of construction materials and supply chains Excellent negotiation and communication skills A proactive and organised approach to workload management Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects Good IT skills, including Excel and procurement systems A full UK driving licence What's on Offer Competitive salary of £45,000 Fuel card Stable, long-term opportunity with a growing contractor Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunity to work on a variety of commercial projects across the UK Career progression within an established business Apply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.
