Maths Lecturer
Location: Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough
Salary/Benefits: £33,048 – £38,169 per annum (DOE and qualifications), plus up to £3,000 market supplement for suitable candidates. Benefits include 45 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, Teacher’s Pension Scheme, retail and leisure discounts, and excellent professional development opportunities including access to further college courses. (Salary and leave based on a qualified lecturer profile.)
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

About the Role
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a well-established Further Education provider to recruit a Lecturer in Maths to join a dynamic English & Maths department.

Key responsibilities include:
Teaching & Learning: Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality Maths lessons across a range of levels, supporting student achievement and progression.
Curriculum Development: Contributing to curriculum innovation and quality improvement, ensuring delivery aligns with national priorities and learner needs.
Student Support: Providing academic guidance, pastoral care, and regular feedback to promote positive behaviour, attendance, and independent learning.
Collaboration & Safeguarding: Working closely with colleagues and external partners while upholding safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and health & safety standards.
Professional Practice: Maintaining up-to-date subject and teaching knowledge, contributing to team development, and engaging in wider college initiatives.
About You
We are looking for a passionate and committed Maths educator who can inspire and support a diverse range of learners.
Essential requirements:
A relevant degree or Level 5 qualification in Maths
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd), or willingness to work towards one
GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
Experience & Skills:
Recent experience teaching GCSE Maths
Strong understanding of FE sector expectations, including safeguarding
Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
Confident using Microsoft 365 and digital learning platforms
Personal qualities:
Inclusive and student-focused approach
Reflective and committed to continuous improvement
Collaborative team player with strong professional integrity
Additional requirements:
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Flexibility to travel across multiple sites
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
