Maths Teacher
Position: Mathematics Teacher Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Long-term (September 2026 – July 2027, with the possibility of a permanent position) Pay: £160 – £250 per day (depending on experience) About the Role We are looking to appoint a Mathematics Teacher to join a secondary school in Portsmouth. This long-term opportunity will start in September 2026 and continue until July 2027, delivering Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Planning and teaching materials will be available to support you, allowing you to concentrate on delivering high-quality lessons that strengthen students’ numeracy, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities. Applications are encouraged from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs). Teachers trained overseas with experience of the UK curriculum are also welcome to apply. About the School The school is a well-established secondary setting for students aged 11–16 and has been rated “Good” by Ofsted. Ideal Candidate Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Recent experience teaching Mathematics within UK secondary schools. Effective classroom management and organisational skills. A genuine enthusiasm for Maths and the ability to engage and motivate learners. Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 is desirable.
