Secondary Maths Teacher - SEMH School | Wandsworth | ASAP Start We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Secondary Maths Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Wandsworth on an ASAP start. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and helping them re-engage with education through high-quality teaching and positive relationships. The Role You will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible Maths lessons to secondary-aged students, many of whom require additional support to access the curriculum. The successful candidate will be confident in adapting teaching strategies, building strong relationships with pupils, and creating a safe, structured learning environment where students can thrive. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3-KS4 Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH needs Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation through supportive classroom management Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider pastoral team Track student progress and support individual learning goals Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential Experience teaching Secondary Maths Previous experience working in an SEMH school is desirable Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills A patient, resilient and proactive approach to teaching What's on Offer Competitive daily rate: £200 - £240 (depending on experience) Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a specialist setting Supportive leadership team and collaborative staff environment Potential for longer-term opportunities Location: Wandsworth, South West London Start Date: ASAP If you are a qualified Maths teacher looking for a rewarding role supporting students with SEMH needs, we would love to hear from you.
