Maths Teacher - SEND Setting
Start: September 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate)
A well-established specialist SEND provision across Suffolk / North Essex is looking to appoint a Maths Teacher to deliver a structured, supportive and engaging curriculum to students with additional needs.
This role is ideal for a teacher who understands that success in SEND isn't just about results, it's about progress, confidence, and consistency.
The Role:
Deliver Maths across Key Stages 3-4 (with some functional skills where appropriate)
Adapt lessons to meet a wide range of SEND needs (including ASD, SEMH, MLD)
Focus on practical maths, life skills, and building numeracy confidence
Create a calm, structured classroom environment with clear routines
Work closely with SEN and pastoral teams to support individual progressYou:
Qualified teacher (ECTs or experienced teachers welcome)
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Confident differentiating lessons for a range of abilities and needs
Patient, resilient, and consistent in behaviour management
