Mechanical Assembler

MoveATech is recruiting for a reputable manufacturing client in Portsmouth who is looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join their production team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with mechanical skills and experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Read and work from engineering drawings and follow work instructions accurately

* Assemble components using hand tools and thread cutting techniques

* Use STTE (Specialised Tooling and Test Equipment) to complete assembly tasks

* Maintain attention to detail and quality standards at all times

* Work collaboratively in a team or independently as required

* Stand for long periods during shifts

Essential Requirements:

* Good grasp of English (written and verbal)

* IT skills, particularly MS Office

* Experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environments

* Ability to follow instructions and work from technical drawings

* Dexterity and attention to detail

* Flexible, self-motivated, and enthusiastic approach

Desirable / Additional Skills:

* Full driving license

* FL license

* Experience with small arms assembly

* Experience with pantograph/laser engraving, fly press, pillar drill, or linishing

* Fault finding and basic engineering knowledge
