Mechanical CAD Designer (Plant 3D)

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical CAD Designer with strong Autodesk Plant 3D experience to support the delivery of industrial process and plant design projects across sectors including chemicals, food & drink, energy, pharmaceuticals and heavy industry. This role will suit an experienced CAD Designer / Draughtsman with a background in piping and plant layout design, looking to work on varied technically challenging projects within a supportive design team. Key Responsibilities * Produce detailed mechanical and piping drawings including layouts, isometrics and fabrication drawings * Develop and maintain 3D plant models using Autodesk Plant 3D * Assist with equipment layout and pipe routing design * Create and update P&IDs based on engineering specifications * Work closely with engineers and project teams to deliver design packages * Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards and project requirements Requirements * Proven experience as a Mechanical CAD Designer / Draughtsman within industrial or process environments * Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Plant 3D (essential) * Experience producing piping layouts, isometrics and plant design drawings * Background in sectors such as chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, food, manufacturing or heavy industry * Understanding of engineering design principles and drafting standards Desirable * Experience working with point cloud / laser scan data * Knowledge of Plant 3D spec editor * Experience using Inventor or AutoCAD * Experience designing pipe supports or access platforms What’s on Offer * Hybrid working flexibility * Exposure to diverse industrial projects * Long-term career development * Supportive consultancy environment Marton Recruitment is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy
