Mechanical Design Engineer - Automation & Robotics

Responsibilities:
Supporting early‑stage proposals with concept models and ideas
Developing new mechanisms, assemblies, and machine concepts using SolidWorks
Building and testing prototypes
Producing detailed part and assembly models, as well as high‑quality manufacturing drawings
Working closely with electrical and controls colleagues to shape system behaviour and sensor strategy
Liaising with suppliers, gathering costs, and helping with technical administration
Creating BOMs, documentation, and 3D visuals for technical and marketing use
Getting hands‑on during assembly, commissioning, and customer delivery of turnkey solutions Requirements:
Strong SolidWorks skills (essential)
Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles, machining, and fabrication
Someone who enjoys being hands‑on as well as design‑focused
A proactive mindset with a willingness to get stuck in across the project lifecycle
Attention to detail and strong technical documentation skills
Experience with motors, pneumatics, or special‑purpose machinery is a bonus
