Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Engineer – Electro-Mechanical Location: Buckinghamshire Salary: £32,000 – £50,000 Depending on experience About The Role: Platform Recruitment is partnering with a leading company specialising in the design, manufacture, and distribution of innovative electro-mechanical products. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in product development, precision design, and 3D CAD. This is an exciting opportunity to work on new product development from concept through to production, within a highly innovative and R&D-focused environment, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams on technically challenging projects. Key Responsibilities: * Design and develop new electro-mechanical products * Work closely with mechanical and electronic engineers on product development * Improve manufacturability and performance of existing designs * Develop and optimise production processes for new and current products * Design and assemble custom tooling for manufacturing and assembly * Support prototype build, testing, and validation activities Key Requirements: * Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (1st or 2:1) * Strong 3D CAD skills * Experience in developing electro-mechanical products * Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture * Understanding lean manufacturing / continuous improvement methods is desirable * Experience designing tooling or fixtures is desirable If you’re a Mechanical Engineer looking to work on technically advanced electro-mechanical products, apply today with an updated CV
