Mechanical Design Engineer

Contract Mechanical Design Engineer Rate: £35–£40 per hour Start: Immediate Type: Contract Length: 3-6 months Hybrid: Yes IR35: Outside Contract Mechanical Design Engineer needed to support the design and development of bespoke conveyor and material handling systems. You will be responsible for full lifecycle mechanical design, from concept and layout through to detailed manufacturing drawings, supporting fabrication and installation. Key requirements: Strong Autodesk Inventor experience (essential) Proven experience designing conveyors and material handling equipment Experience with sheet metal, fabricated frames and mechanical assemblies Ability to produce detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs Previous work as Mechanical Design Engineer Understanding of DFMA and practical manufacturing processes Comfortable working in a fast-paced project environmentThis is an immediate requirement for a Mechanical Design Engineer offering £35–£40 per hour depending on experience.
