Mechanical Fitter
The successful candidates will be required to read engineering drawings to assemble and test mechanical products.
Interested candidates will ideally be Time Served with demonstrable experience working within a manufacturing assembly based environment however those who are not time served may be considered. Experience in assembly of Pumps/ Valves /Gearboxes would be highly advantageous.
Hours - Monday – Thurs 0700 – 1645
All OT Paid at premium rates

The Role
* Carrying out assembly of products in line with standard operating procedures and relevant standards.
* Carrying out testing of products to specified product methods and in line with standards and procedures and health and safety requirements.
* Liaising with supervisors on quality issues arising from manufacturing.
* Ensuring that all tools/machines used are fit for purpose and reporting any problems to Supervision immediately.
* Recommending and carrying out any improvements in line with the company’s continuous improvement program.
* Working at all time within Health and Safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
* Keeping accurate and up to date production records.
* Showing flexibility and working in other parts of the production areas as required.
Qualifications/ Skills
* Ideally candidates will be Time served within an mechanical engineering capacity
* Attention to detail and pride in quality of work
* Able to read engineering drawings
* Demonstrable experience in assembly - Valve /Pump/Gearbox assembly is highly desirable
