The Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll be assembling and fitting mechanical components into larger, high-value assemblies. Working from detailed engineering drawings, you’ll build, strip, inspect, adjust, and rebuild parts to exacting quality and safety standards.

This role suits someone who enjoys practical, varied mechanical work and wants stability, good hours, and long-term progression within a forward thinking organisation.

Key Responsibilities

· Assembly and fitting of mechanical components and sub-assemblies

· Stripping down, inspection, fault-finding, and rebuilding parts

· Reading and interpreting mechanical/engineering drawings

· Carrying out mechanical repairs, adjustments, and refinements

· Fitting smaller precision components into larger assemblies

· Ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and safely

What We’re Looking For

· Previous experience in a Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Assembly role

· Confident reading and working from mechanical drawings

· Strong hand-tool skills

· High level of attention to detail and quality

· Proactive, team-focused approach to work

What’s On Offer

· Salary: £32,0000

· Overtime opportunities

· 38-hour working week

· Monday–Thursday: 0730–16:15

· Friday finish at 12:30
