About the Role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling a range of mechanical components, working from detailed mechanical drawings and specifications. Using a variety of hand tools, you will build, strip, and inspect assemblies, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assembling and fitting mechanical components
* Stripping down, inspecting, and rebuilding parts
* Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings
* Carrying out repairs and adjustments
* Fitting smaller components into larger assemblies
* Ensuring all work is completed accurately and efficiently
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in a mechanical fitting role
* Ability to confidently read and follow engineering drawings
* Skilled in using a variety of hand tools
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
Benefits
* Salary: £32,022.94
* Variable Performance Plan bonus
* 37‑hour working week
* Monday–Thursday: 08:00–16:00
* Friday: 08:00–15:30
* Flexi‑time available
