Mechanical Shift Engineer

Enfield 4 on 4 off – Day Shift Only £42,000 + Shift Allowance + Benefits We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Shift Engineer to join a well-established facilities management contract based in Enfield. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a professional engineering team on a modern commercial site. The Role As a Mechanical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical building services systems, ensuring the site remains fully operational and compliant at all times. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant Maintaining HVAC systems including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and pipework Fault finding and resolving mechanical breakdowns efficiently Supporting minor installation and remedial works Monitoring plant performance and reporting issues proactively Completing maintenance records via CAFM systems Working closely with the shift team to maintain 24/7 site coverage What We’re Looking For Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent) Experience within commercial building services or FM environments Strong HVAC and mechanical fault-finding skills Good understanding of health & safety and permit-to-work systems Experience working in a shift-based environment Reliable, proactive and team-focused approach What’s On Offer Competitive salary Continental shift pattern (work-life balance through shift rotation) Overtime opportunities Company pension Training and development support Long-term career progression Interested Apply today or contact us directly for a confidential discussion
